The Not So Good
- Have tendency to absorb food colors.
- Some spoons are too flexible, so can be difficult to stir/mix items.
I have bought this utensil set recently and I like it a lot. My set included a solid spoon, a spaghetti server, a slotted spoon, a slotted turner and a soup laddle.
The set is extremely colorful and looks great. It is also very easy to use because of the fantastic soft smooth yet firm grip.
Amazingly, the fact that the manufacturers were kind enough to include a stand, makes every ones lives much easier, as now, one can store these without worrying whether or not they will touch the table/counter top and get dirty.
Another great benefit of this is that when you want to place the utensil on the table while the food is cooking, so that you can do something else, the head of the utensil does not touch the counter top. The weight of the handle, combined with the general structure of the utensil, makes it so that the head end of the utensil always floats above the counter top, with only the handle touching the counter top.
When I cooked a curry where I used some turmeric, I noticed that soup laddle has a tendency to absorb turmeric’s color. You can see the yellow tinge in one of the photos. I also noticed that some of these utensils are more flexible than I expected. So when using the slotted spoon or slotted turner to serve food items from the vessel to the plate, it becomes bit harder.
The set also includes a bonus grater. I do not plan on using the grater anytime soon, but is good to have just in case.
Over all, I am satisfied with this set. You can find this set here.
